BYO bling hat!

Look at this beauty, which just landed on my Fabulous desk. If it looks familiar then, yes, you have seen it before - on XFactor, TOWIE and the heads of some ultra cool celebs. A customized hat is the ‘must have’ accessory this winter.
These days, it’s all about personalizing individual items for a totally original and unique look. The more studs, embellishments, lapel pins, sparkly gem stones and funky detailing, the better. When it comes to customizing, you can’t have too much of a good thing – as this cap clearly demonstrates. And if standing out from the crowd is your goal, all it takes is one perfectly pimped outfit and it’s mission accomplished!
I’ll def be rocking the Kings & Queens snapback cap instead of my usual bobble hat this season. It’s a bargain £20 from prettylittlethings.com.

Fabulous Magazine in Katowice!

Hello!

Yes, yes, I'm still alive... And it's been one hell of a month (or two)!

Straight after the Paralympics Opening Ceremony (literally) and just 2 hours sleep I went to my first day at work at Fabulous Magazine, where I'll be staying for a few months. It has been absolutely...well, Fabulous , mega busy, after few weeks we were off to Las Vegas (for my first fashion trip) with my fashion director and the rest of the team to shoot all our up-and-coming fashion stories.
It was AMAZING!... Post coming up soon :-)

But - there's one thing I wanted to share...

Before I started at Fabulous, the fashion director mentioned to me that she wanted to go to Poland to shoot some big fashion stories. I got really excited - high fashion meets my home country! - and one night I sat down to write a ten page document promoting Polish cities and the fact she absolutely, definitely, even-if-it-was-the-last-thing-she-did had to go. Take a peek behind the iron curtain!

One of her ideas was a punk story and she was looking for some kind of cool concert hall with personality to stage the shoot. So I suggested 'Spodek' - a local landmark in my neighbourhood, a concert venue from the 1950s that looks a bit like a flying saucer
that's just landed from outer space. I didn't think they would pick it in a million years, as it was a bit of a drive from their unit base, plus I don't remember anyone ever shooting there.

But a few weeks later and... voila! An amazing punk story is born! Shot in my home city of... drum roll, please... KATOWICE. You can almost see my grandma standing at one of the windows in the buildings behind!

So come pay her a visit... Fashion, Silesian Style... In Fabulous Magazine, out now!

henna tattoos

Hi guys,

What an amazing weather and great start to the week. Let's hope it stays like this for a very long time.

Yesterday I had another opportunity to work with an amazingly talented henna artist Pavan (who btw happens to be the Guinness Record Holder for the World's Fastest Henna Artist).
We did a great new concept for her up and coming look book (published later this year across the country) but I thought I would share it with you guys too as I just LOVE the tattoos.

I fell in love with them when I lived in India but henna tattoos aren't all about the typical bridal Bollywood look (although we all love those too).

Do you remember Chanel catwalk collection 2010? Thats what I'm talking about. Obviously there are plenty of transparent ready-to-wear tatts (some of them better that the others) but you cannot replace the authentic henna ones. Pavan does it her way - combining East and West.

She did tons of fabulous work already- fashion shows, editorials and projects with the Sugarbabes and Alesha Dixon.

So, if you ever fancy spicing up your party outfit - Pavan's your girl.

location, location, location

Hello lovelies,

I had a busy week this week assisting on various shoots for Now Magazine - starting with a studio shoot in London, then off to Kent for a bit of retro glamour, finishing on the beach in Rye where sun was shining to give us the perfect Miami feel.

I'm in the process of researching more locations today, and thought I'd do a quick post of some of the coolest locations I've seen these past few years.

Oh the memories!
Every single picture brings them flooding back. Apart from the hard work crafting the perfect picture, it's been great to meet all the creative people I've had the opportunity of working with.

Choosing the right location is so important, perhaps THE most important choice you can make. It's the foundation for the final product.

I hope there are many more to come! What's your favourite, I wonder?

Have a lovely evening everyone... and come on England!

D.I.Y Friday - studded Converse

Do you all feel the same? Is it June or what? I might not work at the Met Office, but this is officially the worst summer weather ever!

Thankfully I've got a trip to Poland to visit my parents (where is almost 30 degrees) to look forward. And I can't wait to get a taste of Euro 2012 - which starts today , btw. Super exciting- and I'm not a big fan of football at all.

As flip flops, sandals and any other open shoes are basically a no-no at the moment, I've decided to pimp up my old Converse trainers.

Everyone is going 'stud crazy' at the moment, and I'm powerless to resist.

You can get your hands on some studs through Ebay and they're super cheap.

For now, I've only studded the back of my trainers...but now I've started, I'm not sure I can stop! I've totally caught the stud bug.

All you need is a pair of scissors to make little holes wherever you want the studs to go, then use the backing screws to fasten them in place.

Be careful with the scissors though. I actually needed to use my first aid kit yesterday- not so glamorous.

And just 15 mins later...voila! My new Converse trainers never looked so good.

What do you think?

Lots of Love xxx

a psychedelic print shirt by Joyrich

Hello y'all!
How is everyone feeling after a long and boozy weekend of Jubilee celebrations
I've had a fab few days with friends and family (check it out here) full of amazing food, lots of laughter, union jack flags and bubbles, of course.

The best news is the sun is out again, so I've decided to rock my Joyrich shirt which I purchased in LA a month ago.
The fab suede tasselled shorts are from River Island (in store now), and the oversized clutch - a super hot accessory this season- is from Dorothy Perkins.
Unfortunately, I bought the bag years ago, but there should be lots of similar looking ones available in the shops
(you can't blame the girl for being ahead of the fashion curve!) .
As for the heels, they're from Primark - again from about 3 seasons ago when they were only £8!
Everything studded is super hot right now - so even though they're old, these Primark beauties are still bang on trend.
Now that's what I call a worthwhile investment!

Have a lovely and sunny week!
